Working closely with senior leadership and business owners, you will take responsibility for the financial management of the group, providing accurate reporting, commercial insight and strategic support. The role offers a broad remit, spanning management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial controls and business partnering across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will bring previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance position, alongside strong analytical and stakeholder management skills. Experience within hospitality, leisure, tourism or a multi-site environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their senior finance team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and continuous improvement of financial reporting, controls and business performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware accountant who enjoys partnering with operational teams, driving process improvements and providing meaningful financial insight within a complex manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of financial control, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and compliance activities, while leading and developing a small finance team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning processes
• Managing inventory, WIP and cost accounting controls
• Maintaining balance sheet integrity and robust financial governance
• Leading external audit processes and statutory compliance requirements
• Supporting operational and commercial decision-making through insightful analysis
• Driving continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting and processes
• Managing payroll oversight, pensions and key financial contracts
• Developing finance team capability and promoting best practice across the organisation

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or similar role
• Strong financial reporting, control and audit experience
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or product-based environments
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Strong commercial awareness and a continuous improvement mindset
• Advanced Excel and systems skills

Experience of inventory accounting, WIP management, costing and operational finance will be particularly advantageous.
