An established and expanding group organisation based in Carlisle is seeking a qualified Group Financial Accountant to join its growing finance team.
This is a broad and varied opportunity offering exposure to group reporting, financial control, and business partnering within a dynamic multi-entity environment. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across the group.
Key Responsibilities

Ownership of financial reporting across multiple group entities

Review of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls

Supporting group reporting and consolidation processes

Assisting with audit preparation and statutory reporting

Providing financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making

Supporting and mentoring members of the finance team

Identifying improvements to financial systems, reporting processes and controls
About You

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with FRS102 exposure

Experience working in multi-entity or group reporting environments

Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
-
Able to work collaboratively with finance and operational stakeholders
Experience within contracting, or project-based environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
Salary & Benefits Package

Salary: Up to £55,000 region

Pension: 4% employer contribution

Annual Leave: 24 days plus bank holidays
